SOL household conversation
The authenticated portal at /homeassistant/ reuses Services Desk Owner and Operator credentials. Use the workstation Services Desk Access menu's Home Assistant / Voice Portal handoff. Login is retained within the browser tab; every protected operation still validates authorization and revocation. Staff Guest credentials cannot access this shared household session.
The portal connects to one persistent household conversation with live updates, protected document uploads, local model responses and scoped Home Assistant controls. This conversation is shared with authorized Owners and Operators. Explicitly sharing an answer to the household display makes it visible to people near that display.
Voice is experimental. Phone capture is explicit and foreground-only. Fixed microphones maintain bounded local RAM buffers. Temporary authenticated wake sessions currently use Hey Jarvis; Hey SOL is not yet trained. Voice device-control proposals require confirmation. Main workstation speakers provide spoken output. Microphone pickup differs with placement; equal levels are not expected.
Hardware acceptance is incomplete: television rejection, real-room echo cancellation, human interruption, physical iPhone workflows and bedroom device-control verification remain pending. A successful API response does not prove audible playback or visible screen content. The Capabilities view labels unavailable and experimental capabilities; inventory entries do not confer execution permission.
Uploads are limited to 8 MiB each and retained for 30 days. Supported formats include PDF, DOCX, text, Markdown, CSV, XLSX, PNG, JPEG and WebP. Documents are untrusted data, parsed under limits and stored outside public web directories. Configured cloud providers are not automatically authorized to receive household content.
